Defeating the Darkness:
In the game, you are trying to save what remains of the light and defeat the darkness. You have to overcome obstacles and different races of the darkness, Fallen, Hive, Vex, Cabal, & the Taken.
In the Bible, God’s word says…
- “For though your hearts were once full of darkness, now you are full of light from the Lord, and your behavior should show it!” -Ephesians 5:8
In our lives, there can be many different and unexpected obstacles and types of darkness trying to make us “join the dark side,” but we must overcome and defeat it, just as we defeated Crota, Atheon, Skolas, Oryx, and Aksis.
Spreading the Light:
In the game, we must help other Guardians overcome the darkness as well and spread the light of the Traveler throughout the universe.
In the Bible, God’s word says…
- “You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light sine before men, so they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.” -Matthew 5:14-16
- “For this light within you produces only what is good and right and true.” – Ephesians 5:9
In our lives, we must spread the light of God’s word to others who have not discovered the power of God, and with your light show others the righteous path of God.
